Here you see the Minimoog's Pratt-Read keyboard assembly.  All the keys are now removed.

Minimoog Keybed and Bushings in Need of Service

The rubber key bushings are dried out, cracked, and crumbling off the key stops.

A few deteriorated bushings had been replaced by pieces of spaghetti tubing.

Crumbling Key Bushings

Here you see the exposed key stops after scraping off the old bushings.

Key Stops

The stops aren't all level, especially in the heavy traffic area.

We'll adjust the stop heights after the keys are reinstalled.

Minimoog Keybed

Here's the cleaned-up keybed with newly installed rubber bushings.

The bushings were lubricated with Dow Corning® #7 silicone release compound.

New Rubber Key Bushings

The "V" shaped fins of each bushing go down, as shown here, and the wider trough goes up.
