Key contacts need cleaning when
notes trigger late or sputter. Like a lot of
Sequential Circuits and Arp synthesizers, the SCI Pro-One
triggers a note when a "j-wire" contacts a "bus bar".
An eraser removes grime and oxidation
from contacts. The erasers on the right are available at
stationers or art supply houses but aren't as abrasive, skinny, or
sharpen-able as the typewriter EraserStik shown to the left. Too
bad the EraserStik is no longer made.
