Moog® Rogue    Disassembly

Last page      |      Bottom      |      Next page

The Moog Rogue's power jack resides on the Main printed circuit board.

The Main board is mounted directly under the top panel and holds all the control potentiometers and lever switches.

So, first remove the knobs from all the pots, both rotary and slider.  They friction fit and simply pull off the shaft.

If a rotary knob is tight, use some string, a T-shirt hem, or a table fork to get under it and coax it off.

To separate the Rogue's top chassis from the bottom tray, several screws must be removed.

In the front, there's one screw on each end of the keyboard.

The right end screw is shown in this photo.

On the bottom, there are four screws to remove, two on each end.  One is shown here.

Bottom screw

Finally, there's one screw at the bottom of the rear panel, in the middle.

The other screw in this photo attaches a circuit board holder that will be removed a little later.

At this point, the top chassis will separate from the bottom tray and keyboard.

One keyboard cable interconnects the top and bottom assemblies.  It unplugs where it meets the Main circuit board.

Rear panel screw

On the rear panel, the Jack circuit board (right) must be detached so that the Main board can be removed.

The Jack board detaches by removing four hex nuts holding the jacks to the rear panel.  Under the nuts are flat finishing washers.

Inside the panel are four lock washers (see photo).  Remember to return them to the jack bushings before reinstalling the board.
